The Association of Anaesthetists of Great Britain and Ireland

Travel Grants and IRC Funding
The International Relations Committee (IRC) of the AAGBI Foundation considers applications for funding for projects usually, but not exclusively, in lower resourced countries. There are three categories of grants:

  • Travel Grants for Individuals
  • Project Grants
  • Volunteer and Out of Programme Experience Grant

The committee meets in January, May, July and October each year to consider applications, which must be received within the advertised timeframe to be considered.

The next IRC meeting applicants can submit a grant application to will be held in January 2018. The submission period is currently open to applications for travel taking place between 2 February 2018 and 18 May 2018. The deadline for these applications is 22 December 2017. Further dates will be advised in due course.

Please note applications are not considered retrospectively, so applications must be made in advance of travel so that a decision can be taken at the next available committee meeting.
