Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Applied Health Sciences, University of Aberdeen
The Institute of Applied Health Sciences undertakes pioneering clinical research. They are seeking a candidate with expertise in Applied Health Sciences, and an interest in Anaesthesia, Perioperative Medicine, (Acute and Chronic) Pain Science, but also Epidemiology and Health Services Research, to join their team.
The team closely collaborates with active NHS research staff and trainees from the Department of Anaesthesia, NHS Grampian, which includes more than 100 staff members, and has a rich teaching programme and an expanding scientific output. We collaborate with national and international organisations and host the Pain and Opioids after Surgery (PANDOS) research group, funded by the European Society for Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care (ESAIC) (Chair: Professor Patrice Forget, Clinical Chair in Anaesthesia).
The post represents an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and ambitious individual to join researchers within the Institute of Applied Health Sciences (IAHS), School of Medicine, Medical Sciences and Nutrition (SMMSN) which is currently highly rated in all national league tables.
