Aim

The grant is intended to help support research of an educational nature that will benefit education in anaesthesia, critical care or pain.

The Support

Budget for the round is £10,000 and applications for up to this amount will be considered but applications for smaller sums would also be welcome. The grant is not intended to pay salaries but may be used to purchase service of a third party e.g. to carry out interviews or secretarial support for transcription of interview material.

The grant may be used to purchase items of equipment. In this case the equipment will remain the property of SEA UK and be considered to be on loan. This will allow such equipment to be used by other researchers as appropriate.

The grant is not intended to fund registration fees for higher degrees.

Report

Successful applicants will also be required to submit an annual report through the Researchfish platform (see below), which will be made available to SEA UK. Please note that applicants who do not submit their annual reports on time may not be permitted to apply for further funding until the outstanding report is provided.

Should this application be successful, please be aware that it is now a condition for any NIAA facilitated grant-holder to submit annual reports on the outcomes of their awarded grant through the Researchfish Impact Assessment platform.

The NIAA administers the grant awarding process on behalf of its partner organisations. Grant applications and the personal data of applicants will be shared with those organisations on the basis of legitimate interests for processing the funding linked to an award and fulfilling ongoing reporting requirements.
